United Way Donates Teen Hygiene Bags to Schools
United Way Donates Teen Hygiene Bags to Schools
April 1, 2026
- It's an under-appreciated and unfortunate reality, but not everyone has consistent or easy access to life's essentials, whether that be toothpaste, deodorant, or other personal hygiene items. At United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, their "Lived United" mantra says it all, and as such they made a recent effort to provide free hygiene items to teens throughout the area. This included some 250 drawstring bags (right) filled with supplies donated specifically to TRRS, and distributed to all six secondary schools last week. At Intermediate East, students held them high (above), and at High School North (below), they were stocked away for discreet distribution in the school's
Captain's Closet
for anyone who might need one. It was similar elsewhere, as the
Raider Pantry
was stocked at High School East (below);
South's new closet
took in the bags; the
Seminole Pantry
was stocked at Int. South; and Int. North happily accepted the donation for distribution. A kind gesture that will impact the lives of many is inspiring and appreciated, and we thank our friends at UWMOC for continuing to Live United!
