March 13, 2019 -- Nationally, March is designated as Youth Art Month by The Council for Art Education. The month-long celebration of visual arts puts the spotlight on the importance of art education while highlighting the creativeness and artistic abilities of young students. This year's theme is "Your Art, Your Story."

There have been several opportunities for students in our district to have their artwork displayed on the national, state, county, and local level.

Here in Toms River, the Ocean County Library is hosting its annual Youth Art Month show from March 5-29. Everyone in the community is invited to view students' artwork anytime during the library's normal operating hours.

These students at Beachwood Elementary were recognized for their participation in Youth Art Month with certificates.
