Oct. 1, 2026- The courtyard at Intermediate South continues to be a special place where learning, nature, and hands-on experiences come together. This week, one class had the opportunity to see their efforts come full circle.
“Last year, our class planted a raspberry bush, and we tended to it all summer," said Int. South teacher Debora Sheran. "Today we enjoyed raspberry jam — with a little extra help from Smuckers — and rice cakes. So fun!”
This sweet moment is a wonderful example of what the school's courtyard represents.
"It is more than an outdoor space," said Assistant Principal Casey Daniel. "It is a place where students and staff can work together, where learning extends beyond the classroom, and where something planted one year can become a meaningful experience the next."
From planting, to caring, to growing, and finally enjoying the fruits of that work, this was truly a full-circle moment at Intermediate South.
