Sept. 16, 2022—The weather this week simply could not have been better, and that meant ideal conditions for High School East’s first marine science field trip of the school year.

Led by teacher Jon Hoffman, Marine Science 1 students hit the beaches to get some real-world, environmental experience. Thursday morning, students did some beach profiling, and measured longshore drift currents. In the afternoon, they went seining (right).

“The kids seemed to really enjoy the day,” said Hoffman. Additional photos below.
