May 27, 2026- The district's work-based learning (WBL) program celebrated another successful year on May 18, recognizing students and community partners who help prepare them for success through internships, employment experiences, and college and career readiness opportunities.

The annual celebration brought together students from all three high schools, along with teachers, administrators, families, and community partners to honor the accomplishments of the district's WBL students and the businesses and organizations that support the program throughout the year. Guests enjoyed Ob-Co donuts, Dunkin' munchkins, beverages and coffee from Spire Coffeehouse, and beautiful carnations provided by A Blossom Shop Florist and  High School North alumna Stacey Cofka — all generously donated by community sponsors.

WBL coordinator Jamie Tesoro said she was incredibly proud of the hard work, growth, and dedication students demonstrated throughout the year and they have extremely bright futures ahead. She encouraged students to "keep growing, keep shining, and step into everything with confidence because your hard work is already lighting the way for what comes next."
