June 2, 2025- High School North's Nautical Stars Theatre Company's spring production of Crazy for You has been nominated for 12 BergenPAC High School Musical Awards: Best Sound Design (Zack Bliss), Best Hair & Makeup Design (Joelle Mascaro), Best Costume Design (Frankie Confalone), Best Orchestra (George Powers), Best Ensemble (cast), Best Ensemble Member (Christopher Gioxaris), Best Choreography (Dr. Michael Penna), Best Musical Direction (George Powers), Best Direction (Dr. Michael Penna), Best Actress (Madison McPhee), Best Actor (Lucas Maciel), and Best Overall Production.

The awards will take place 7 p.m. tonight at BergenPAC in Englewood, NJ. The Theatre Company will be performing at the ceremony as well.

Nautical Stars Theatre Company also competes at the State Teen Arts Festival on Wednesday, June 4. The troupe moved onto the state competition after receiving first place at the Ocean County Teen Arts Festival in the following categories: Large Theatre Piece (Twelfth Night); Large Musical Theatre Piece (Crazy for You); and Small Theatre Piece (Allyson Olivera and Lia Warren).
