July 27, 2026- High School South is a high-achieving IXL school, with a banner to prove it.
The building earned the distinction by scoring a per-student average of 69.64 in the skills proficiency of the online, K-12 learning resource, a platform available to high school students that strengthens skills in math and language arts.
IXL provides adaptive skill practice, real-time diagnostics, and targeted test preparation including SAT, PSAT, and AP. It offers personalized action plans, detailed analytics for teachers, and is proven to boost state assessment scores according to the US Department of Education.
"We are thrilled to receive this recognition on behalf of all of their students who have worked so hard," said HSS Principal Kevin Raylman.
This latest high-performing designation is a continuum of South's recent success in student achievement. Over the past four years the school has nearly doubled student success in mathematics, and graduation rates have risen in the double digits.
