Mrs. Kruger wins the Ocean First Foundation Grant for our new Sensory Room.

We are very excited to have had the opportunity to collaborate with KultureCity to complete phase 1 of our new Sensory Room here at East Dover Elementary School. A Sensory Room is a specially designed room, which combines a range of stimuli to help all individuals develop and engage their senses. Engaging children in sensory activities is beneficial in several ways, as it can help with stimulating the brain, creating neural pathways, improve sensory processing systems, and improve social skills such as communication and cooperation. We are very thankful to Ocean First Bank for choosing us for a grant that will allow us to customize and add many more wonderful and engaging items to our room.
