Toms River Regional Schools, in partnership with the YMCA of Greater Monmouth County’s School-Based Young People’s Program and with generous grant funding from the H. Hovnanian Foundation, is proud to offer the district-wide Youth Counseling Program.

The 2022-2023 school year ushers in a continuation of the program, and its staff continues to prepare for the anticipated post traumatic symptoms of students significantly impacted by the pandemic and social isolation. The Youth Counseling Program offers a hybrid of both in-person (on campus) and telehealth counseling sessions and will work closely with building principals and school counselors to ensure student behavioral health needs are met.

The YMCA continues to accept AETNA, HORIZON, New Jersey Family Care/Medicaid, United Healthcare, UMR, and Oxford in the schools. Resources accessible at the right include an informational flyer; referral instructions and forms; school license numbers; and district-assigned clinicians. Additional information can be found at the YMCA website.

The district values this important partnership and is proud to offer counseling services to meet the behavioral health needs of the student body.
