July 22, 2026- Dave Oizerowitz — or Coach O as he's more popularly known — already had quite the resume. The High School North football coach led his team to three consecutive state titles from 2022 through 2024, including a perfect season in '24, earned NJ.com Coach of the Year honors in 2024, Coach of the Week honors in September of that same year courtesy of the New York Jets, and generally serves as the architect of one of the Shore's most dominant football programs. (Oh, and he was even named HSN Teacher of the Year in 2024-2025.) For those reasons and more, Oizerowitz was inducted into the Shore Conference Coaches Hall of Fame July 15.

It happened during the Shore Conference All-Star Game held at Holmdel High School, and the induction is prestigious to say the least. Criteria for the Shore Coaches Hall of Fame is quite strict, but Oizerowitz's tenure as the man in charge of Mariners football proved more than worthy of such recognition.

Even through a surprisingly tough regular season last year, the Mariners still managed to reach the state sectional seminfinal game. And the team enters the 2026-2027 season with high expectations yet again, but such is the burden of being led by a hall-of-fame coach. 

Congratulations, Coach O, on a well-deserved induction for what has certainly been a hall-of-fame career!
