Sept. 11, 2023-- Defense and special teams had a tremendous impact on High School East's 35-22 win over Central Regional Sept. 8, as two blocked punts returned for touchdowns and a James Lynch fumble recovery that led to an Avery Phillips rushing TD gave HSE a 29-0 lead over their Shore Conference rivals.

Phillips would tack on a 50-yard scoring scamper to make it 35-15, and East held on to secure its first win of the 2023 season.
