Jan. 25, 2023-- It wasn't only High School South swimmers who walked away from the Ocean County Championship meet wearing smiles and medals.

High School East's relay team of Venisse Mandanas, Olivia Casella, Erin Beaudry, and Aliya Nagaria placed first in the 200m freestyle. In doing so, the foursome successfully defending their title from 2022.

Mandanas also broke a long-standing school record in the 50m freestyle. Coach Philip Scallon (right) was no doubt proud of his team, which also finished second overall at the meet held last weekend.
