Sept. 22, 2025- In a competitive field of 16 teams, only Raiders were left standing.

And speaking of 16, it was the first time the High School East girls tennis team has won the Ocean County Tennis Tournament since 2016.

Juniors Libby Dickman and Kelly Forrester joined senior Bella Merlino in singles, where they all finished top three in their groups. Meanwhile, seniors Kiran Kanuga and Sabrina Shi took second place in first doubles while a senior/freshman duo of Mikayla Milanek and Jamie Forrester won first place in second doubles.

Coaches Matthew Rutter and Rachel Barry are leading a talented group of girls in 2025-2026. In addition to the county win at Bey Lea Park on Saturday, East tennis sits at 7-1 on the season and is currently undefeated in Class B South.
