Oct. 17, 2025- Following their resounding first-round Shore Conference Tournament win, the High School East boys soccer team went on the road to face a tough Rumson-Fair Haven squad, and the matchup lived up to its billing.
The eighth (RFH) and ninth (HSE) seeds battled all the way until double overtime, when a goal by sophomore Brady Gillen (right) gave the Raiders a thrilling 2-1 win.
Aiden Reiss, who had multiple goals in round one, netted the other score for East. Senior Mike Moore was "amazing" in goal according to several parents in attendanceā his eight saves kept the Raiders in the game through regulation and beyond.
The Raiders advance to play no. 1 seed Christian Brothers Academy, on the road Monday in the SCT quarterfinals.
Good luck, boys!
