May 6, 2025- The story of High School South's 13-0 win over Brick Township Monday was the performance of senior Ben Hartzfeld.

The captain matched his jersey number with 11 points. That included an incredible nine goals, which broke the previous South in-game goals record of eight held by, well ... Ben Hartzfeld and Brady Derome.

What's that called, an own goal? A self own? Let's call it a triple hat trick record breaker.

It's been quite the lax career for Hartzfeld, who has 115 points as an Indian and who now has 91 goals with two regular season games left to play. The century mark would be nice, but Ben's legacy is already well secured. He is, after all, a record holder.
