'Elite' company

Nov. 18, 2024-- Nasir Jackson (left) returned two interceptions for touchdowns, and High School North overcame a 20-7 halftime deficit to beat Rancocas Valley 42-27 and win their third straight NJSIAA Group 5 sectional title.

The second-half pick sixes made it three scores for Jackson, who also rushed for a TD in the first half.

Also with three scores was Cole Garrison, whose second-half touchdown runs contributed to the team's 35-point outburst to put the game away.

The run of consecutive sectional titles has the team "joining an elite group of Shore Conference programs to have accomplished the feat," according to the Asbury Park Press.

The team advances to the Group 5 semifinals, where they'll face Washington Township at home this Friday, Nov. 22.
