Sept. 21, 2023-- As part of his tri-state tour, Jantzen Raymond of NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis visited the district today, meeting with guidance counselors at High School East to discuss requirements for college athletics.

The speaking engagement was arranged by Director of Student Services John Green (right, with Raymond), and the mission of the talk was to inform and "give a face to the NCAA," according to Raymond.

Counselors learned about requirements to play at all levels of the NCAA-- Divisions 1, 2, and 3-- were given tips on finding the right schools for students, and provided insight on the entire process, from college interest to recruitment to scholarships and more.

It was a valuable opportunity for guidance counselors to become better equipped to serve student athletes.
