North track wins state title photo

June 2, 2025- It never seemed like this was going to end any other way.

It was a season full of incredible feats— breaking state recordsnational records, and winning the Shore Conference Championship. The only thing missing was, well ... a loss.

High School North's boys track and field team completed an undefeated season this past weekend en route to winning the first NJSIAA Group 4 state track and field championship in school history.

Mamadi Diawara tied an Ocean County record while winning the 110-meter hurdles, and fellow senior Camryn Thomas won the 400 hurdles. All told, it was another dominating performance on the state's biggest stage, as the team put up 90.5 points, with second-place North Brunswick tallying 59.

The Asbury Park Press has all of the details.

Congratulations to HSN's boys track and field team on their historic and dominating season, and for establishing themselves as a true powerhouse in New Jersey and nationally.
