Daniel Nafziger pitches for East May 12

Daniel Nafziger didn't walk a batter through seven solid innings of work Monday.

May 13, 2025- Last Thursday, Rumson-Fair Haven snapped a High School East six-game winning streak, beating the Raiders 7-6. Yesterday, the two teams met again, but the stakes were higher than regular season bragging rights, as it was a first-round Shore Conference Tournament matchup.

East pitcher Daniel Nafziger pitched a complete game three hitter, striking out seven, and Matthew Ferrara scored and drove in a run to lead East to a 3-1 win.

Sophomore Joey DiMeo scored and continued to be a menace on the base paths— another stolen base yesterday puts him at 31 for the season—and Nafziger helped his own cause by scoring himself. It was all the offense the Raiders needed.
