Jan. 12, 2026- We guess you can say it all started for High School East with Aaryan Nagaria breaking the school record in the 100 fly. It was all downstream from there.

For one thing, Nagaria broke THAT record this past weekend at the Ocean County Swim Championships with a time of 54.89, earning a third-place medal. And that wasn't all, as Nagaria and his 200 medley relay teammates — Riley MacDonald, Cooper Mulligan, and Owen Dierking — broke a 29-year-old school record in the event, posting a time of 1:42.39 and helping the boys team place second overall at the championship meet.

On the girls' side, East's Addison Betts broke three (!) school records at the Ocean County Swim Championships, setting new marks in the 50 freestyle (24.46), 100 fly (1:00.08), and 100 freestyle (54.32).

And that was just in the water.

Back on land, the Raiders' 4x400m track and field relay team of Aiden Corapi, Ryan Mazza, Liam Vosper, and Aiden Reis shattered the school record with a time of 3:28.91, beating the 2002 mark by nearly three seconds. That performance and others from coach Nolan Czech's squad has the boys currently ranked no. 14 in all of New Jersey.

We're worried this might already be old news, as we're uncertain if Aaryan Nagaria has already bested his most recent record. After all, things are moving very quickly lately for High School East athletics. So as a new week begins, we'll keep you posted on any new marks set.
