but High School East's Joey DiMeo beats the tag, securing one of his two steals.

April 29, 2026- Liam Scallon (right) tossed six innings of two-run ball, and Jonathan Pallman struck out the side in the seventh to secure a 5-2 High School East win over High School North in the quarterfinal round of the Ocean County Tournament yesterday.

Vinny Vergona had a two-run single for the Mariners, but that was all the offense they could muster, as teammate Patrick Mackin had the only other hit. Pitcher Brody Hempsted was solid, striking out nine, but the Raiders' offense manufactured runs via seven stolen bases to advance to the OCT semis.

The win over their Shore and in-district rival had junior catcher Dominick Sabatino doing backflips.
