Oct. 21, 2025- It was a tall order, for sure. Following their thrilling second-round Shore Conference Tournament win, High School East's boys soccer team was tasked with facing Christian Brothers Academy on the road in the SCT quarterfinals yesterday. The tournament's top seed and ranked no. 16 in the state according to NJ.com's Top 20, CBA has also made an appearance in the SCT championship game for four years straight. And counting, following their 3-0 win over the Raiders yesterday. Despite the loss— during which the squad played admirably well, yielding a single goal in the first half and making CBA work for everything— HSE has the state tournament to look forward to, and sits at an impressive 13-5 on season. Better yet, they have a gallery of exquisite photos courtesy of Allison Goodwin to fall back on, which will last long after the sting of yesterday's defeat subsides. Enjoy.
