Feb. 9, 2026- Senior Night arrived at a good time for the High School East girls basketball team, which was in the midst of a four-game losing streak heading into a home matchup with Barnegat Feb. 6. Outgoing players (above, left to right) Rileigh Dawson, Rachel Wnek, Jillian Fitzgibbons, and Ella McNeary were honored during pre-game, and then helped kick the team into high gear, with Fitzgibbons (center) notching a season-high nine points and McNeary — following her leapfrog (right) of teammate Ciley Francis during starting lineup introductions — nailing her first career three pointer. These senior contributions and a double-double from Brooke Gathman (14 points, 11 boards) helped secure a much-needed 20-point win for the Raiders. The team begins the Shore Conference Tournament tomorrow.
