Feb. 6, 2025- Toms River Hockey entered the Handchen Cup postseason tournament on a rare two-game skid, but they left little doubt that they deserved their well-earned no. 2 seed, beating Middletown South in the quarterfinal round, 5-0.

Nate Danyo scored a pair of goals and assisted on another, and David Gawalis was — according to NJ.com's recap of the game — "perfect between the pipes," stopping all 28 shots he faced.
