June 11, 2025- Following the girls All-Shore Track & Field announcements, it was the boys' turn.
In the least surprising news of the track season, all four of High School North's all-world 4x400 relay team of Mamadi Diawara, Taysaun Wilson, Camryn Thomas, and Mordecai Ford made first-team honors from the Asbury Park Press. Their team and individual accomplishments are unprecedented for their school and, in many cases, New Jersey track and field in general.
Also making the cut for the 2025 All-Shore Boys Track & Field first team is High School South's Jayden Hall, who won pole vault gold at the Shore Conference and Ocean County championship meets.
North's Jael Hester and Yianni Papanikolas made second team All-Shore.
It wasn't only the athletes who stood out on the track and field this season. Coaching Staff of the Year went to High School North.
"The Mariners ran the table in team competition, culminating in the program’s first NJSIAA Group 4 championship. Their season was epic in every sense, very likely the best in the storied history of the Shore Conference," wrote APP's Jerry Carino. "Take a bow Mike Barrett (head coach), Tyler Pinto (sprints, hurdles and jumps) and Charlie Monanian (throws)."
The Mariners were named the spring season's top team as well.
Congratulations to our Toms River athletes and coaches on a remarkable 2025 spring season, and the recognitions that have come with their extraordinary success.
